WORKSHOPS

Raku Workshop

Raku is ancient Japanese method of firing pottery in which you fire pots fast, then remove them from the kiln and place them in some combustible material. This results in a wide variety of colors - no two are ever alike!

Taught by Anna Woolf and Neale LaSalle
Ages: Adult (you know if you're old enough to play with fire)   $75

Beginning Batik

Create images with wax, fabric and dye. Try thinking artistically backward. Learn to control the medium or let it control you.

Pinned Stack Stone Sculpture

This course covers basic stone-working techniques such as drilling, splitting, and carving, and focuses specifically on using steel pins to mount pieces together for sculptural and functional applications.

Taught by Obadiah Buell.

Twig Furniture

Participants build a sturdy small table or chair using green twigs and ringed neck nail construction. Driftwood, stone or found objects can be incorporated in the design.

Art for Your Floor

This traditional craft uses heavy duty canvas which can be decorated in a variety of ways. Create a beautiful and durable piece that will be charcoal for use on the floor.

These colorful bags are just the thing for carrying your projects or anything! They are easy to make and it's a good way to use up scraps of fabrics.

Knit Two Socks at Once

Using two circular needles it is possible to knit both socks of a pair at the same time. We will knit either a baby sock or a pair for you; your choice.
