Venues & Travel Directions

Most performances and workshops take place at Hammond Hall, 427 Main Street in Winter Harbor, Maine.

Built in 1904, the newly refurbished Hammond Hall is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and is available for special events when not in use for Schoodic Arts events and rehearsals.

Hammond Hall

From Ellsworth to Hammond Hall:

Take Route 1 East approximately 15 miles to Route 186. Turn right onto 186 and follow that until you reach Main Street, Winter Harbor. (Gas Station on your right, water in front of you). Turn right and go .4 mile to Hammond Hall. (We are just past the Bar Harbor Banking and Trust building). Watch for signs regarding parking. Parking is limited, and there is a working lobster dock behind the hall.

OR From the Women's Club to Hammond Hall:

Follow Route 186 past the Women's Club until you reach Winter Harbor. Once you reach the main intersection in Winter Harbor, you will find that Route 186 continues to the right (North). Do not follow it. Continue straight (West) through the town along the main road. Once you are through the main part of town, you will find Hammond Hall on your left, not far past Bar Harbor Bank and Trust.

Across from Women's Club, at 56 Main Street, Prospect Harbor.

 

CG Corea (Seaside) Grange

From Prospect Harbor (Route 186) follow Corea Road (Route 195) three miles East to Crowley Island Road. Turn left onto Crowley Island Road. Seaside Grange is 1/2 mile down the road on your left.

GYM Gym/Gouldsboro Community Center Located on Route 186 (the Pond Road) just South of the former Gouldsboro School.

Methodist Church Hall

Located on Route 186 Main Street, Prospect Harbor. Just North of the Women's Club, see below.

O O'Brien Studio

Located at 316 Main St. Winter Harbor, between the Winter Harbor Historical Society and the Baptist Church and Lee's Glass.

 

P Liza Fisher Studio

Liza Fisher's Studio, Watering Cove Pottery, is located at US Bells, on Route 186, about 1 mile north of the intersection of Route 186 and 195.

 

T Tent

Located in front of Women's Club- see below.

W Prospect Harbor Women's Club

From Ellsworth, follow US Route 1 for about 17 miles until you come to Route 195, or "The Pond Road."  Turn Right onto Route 195. Proceed south 5 miles to Prospect Harbor. Turn right at Route 186 (Main St). Pass a couple of houses, the Methodist Church, the Firehouse, the Town Hall and you will arrive at the Prospect Harbor Women's Club, the center of the Schoodic Art for All Festival activities. There will be tents and banners and signs- you can't miss it.


There will be a FREE BUS operating between Winter Harbor and Prospect Harbor during the Schoodic Arts Festival.
